Saying Goodbye to a Beloved Pet

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult parts of having them in our lives. They've been our constant companion throughout the years, and it can be tough to figure out the best way to honor them in old age or illness. Here at Pet Home Euthanasia Services, it's our goal to make your pet's passing as peaceful as possible.

One of the tougher decisions you'll need to make is deciding when the time is right to say goodbye. For some pets, this moment may be somewhat clear with a sudden downturn in their health. For many, however, there's rarely an easy answer. It's often the case that older cats and dogs will slowly decline in their well-being. Dr. Soliman and his team offers compassionate care with quality of life assessments and advice based on decades of veterinary experience to help you make the best decision for your pet and your family.

It's common for owners to believe that as long as a pet is eating the food you set out and drinking their water then they're doing well enough to avoid thinking about euthanasia. The reality is that many animals that are in great amounts of pain and discomfort will continue to eat and drink. Having a veterinarian perform a quality of life assessment will give you a more accurate look into how they're doing. They'll talk to you about how many good days and bad your pet has in a week. Other signs that animals show as their health declines include changes in their behavior, isolation, and lessening interest in previously favorite toys and treats.

As overwhelming as this situation can be for your family, we want you to know that we're here for you and your pet. Dr. Soliman can answer any questions you have before, during and after about the process and any fears you may have. Choosing an in-home euthanasia allows your pet to have a peaceful passing in the place they feel most comfortable, surrounded by the people they love most in the world.

Pet Cremation and Pet Aftercare Services

After euthanasia, many pet owners are unsure of what comes next. We offer pet cremation and aftercare services so that you can honor their memory in a way that means the most to you. Private cremation allows your pet's remains to be returned to you in a personalized cedar box, while a communal cremation does not allow for ashes to be returned to owners. Regardless of which option you choose, you can request a fur clipping and a clay paw print to commemorate those years together.

Cost

Euthanasia Only

The Euthanasia-Only package includes travel, home visit, sedation and euthanasia. You may keep your pet's body afterward for home burial or you may transport them to a pet cremation facility yourself.

The Euthanasia + Communal Cremation package includes travel, home visit, sedation, euthanasia, and gentle transport of your pet for group cremation. Please keep in mind that the ashes will not be returned to you, though you can request a fur clipping or a clay paw print.
